Hello wonderful Shelley!

I have something called tooth soap which is a substitute for regular tooth paste. This is a product based on the findings of Dr Gerard F. Judd, Ph.D., Chemist, Researcher for 18 years and Professor of Chemistry for 33 yrs. He wrote a book called "perfect teeth from birth to death".

basically the manufacturers of tooth soap say that tooth soap is better than tooth paste because of:

"Research proves that pure soap is the best product one can use to improve and maintain optimum dental health. In addition, unlike pure soap, currently available oral care products contain highly undesirable chemicals such as fluoride, added sticky glycerin, dyes, and artificial flavors and sweeteners."

"Tooth Soap® cleans teeth and gums perfectly, removing oils and other contaminants from the teeth. Unlike conventional tooth cleansing products that coat the teeth with contaminating ingredients, Tooth Soap® cleaned teeth facilitate re-mineralization from nutrients in the diet."

There are two youtube videos where a nice lady basically explains tooth soap and the process of tooth re-enamilization, it covers alot of information and I thought they were good:

what do you think Shelley? Is it any good? I dont want to use regular tooth paste and baking soda is too abrasive for my teeth, I have very thin enamel. I think that this tooth soap is quite good, I have used it for some months now, one little jar lasts for ages.

Hm...

It looks great!

Baking soda is very abrasive. I will gargle and swish with it often, but rarely actually brush with it unless I've let it dissolve thoroughly. I like to use the abrasiveness of baking soda mostly as a skin cleanser. It's a wonderful exfolliant.
