All ab exercises are fantastic for chronic constipation. Before doing these exercises, do the Digestive Wake Up call exercises.

Knee lifts - better for the back then lifting straight legs, lie on your back, bend your legs, and lift your knees to your chest. Tuck in your tummy as you do this. Do at least 10 repetitions.

Crunches - lace your hands behind your neck and with bent legs move your torso up as if doing a situp, but don't go all the way up. Just get your head and neck off the ground and into your chest. Again, tuck in the tummy as you do this.


The Chair yoga asana - sit as if sitting in a chair but without the chair for 5 minutes. You can have your hands over your head or stretched out in front of you for better balance.
