Hello there I wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction as to what I can do. I know people make jokey comments about me smelling of feaces. However, I have not been to my doctor as I am too embarrassed, although I now feel like it is ruining my life and I have a daughter who is under a year old and now have another on the way, and do not want to interact with new people for fear of being spoke about again. Therefore, I was wondering if anybody can give me any ideas or advice on what I can do. I too have also noticed that my breath does not always feel/taste fresh and dont know if it is all part of the same problem. I was diagnosed as having IBS about 15 yrs ago and nothing at all eased the problem, and have learnt to live with it now with no medication.I am a very clean and hygenic person, so know that I physically cannot do anymore on that and also have a balanced diet (no junk food). Please help, I am at my wits end. Thank you |

Hi there
I normally cook a meat potato and veg dinner, or a pasta dinner (tuna pasta etc) and have a bowl of cereal in the morning and a sandwich for lunch, about 5/6 decaffeinated cups of tea a day. I dont eat highly spiced food and I do not like curries,or such like and the hotest I go, is by using garlic rarely in cooking.
I am going to be limited on what I can try at the moment as I am pregnant, but am willing for any advice.
I think that I may build up the courage to contact my doctor next week, as it is getting me down in myself and want to just be happy in life where I can. |

Hi and welcome to the forum! You've come to the right place.
It makes sense that you've had IBS and now have a smell, because they are all related - it means you have many food intolerances that have led to a lack of friendly microbes and congested fecal matter that allows for pockets of gas that are now escaping thru your skin.
The first thing you have to do is stop drinking milk. Instead, drink lactaid milk or Kefir. The Kefir should be organic, unsweetened. You can add your own honey or maple syrup or Stevia.
You should not eat garlic or cabbage unless the cabbage is fermented as in homemade sauerkraut, kim chee or cortida (see the Kitchen forum for recipe). You should also avoid black tea and switch to safe herbal teas like ginger, peppermint, chamomile. Since they aid digestion they are also very nice when pregnant!
You must drink at least 50 ounces of fluids a day, mostly as tea, broths (bone broths and veggie, potassium), and the Cleansing Drinks (see FAQ for recipes). You should never drink iced water, or iced tea, EVER. All your fluids should be either room temp or simmered. Iced drinks are one of the main causes of IBS.
You need to read the FAQ thoroughly, starting with the section called Vital Health and follow the guidelines for a good power of digestion.
You should avoid gluten grains - wheat, buckwheat, barley, oats, and instead have Quinoa, amaranth, teff, basmati brown rice, bamati white rice, legumes. Check out the Kichadi recipe, it's very easy to eat and cures all digestive disorders. You should avoid corn too.
You might want to take Triphala. It's an ancient Ayurvedic herbal remedy formed from 3 different fruit native to India, so it's completely safe even during pregnancy. It heals the intestines and is a very mild laxative. You can take a LOT of it for a year with no problem. Don't take large amounts however if your pregnancy is only in its first trimester.
You need to eat a mostly liquid diet for a day or two (see the recipe for the Protein Shake) and then only eat cooked foods - lots of cooked fruit, the Kichadi, hot cereals like Lundberg's and Bob's Red Mill and Quinoa flakes, for several days, and then you can add in raw salads and raw veggie juices.
Since you're pregnant you probably shouldn't be doing any intestinal cleanses, but you CAN eat high-fiber and really should. You can also add freshly ground flax seed to most meals to increase fiber. Just buy some whole flax seed, any color, and grind it in a coffee grinder. Have one tablespoon a day. You can also make flax seed tea - recipe in the Kitchen forum.
Also be sure to eat the Cleansing Salads, there are two recipes in the FAQ.
Be sure to check out the list of super foods and see about adding some to your diet. They will help you and your child immensely! Pre-natal pills are pure poison. I don't ever recommend any kind of "one a day" vitamin pills. The body cannot assimilate them, they just give you expensive pee after tearing up your liver and kidneys.
Hope that helps! |

| Hello there and thank you for taking the time to reply back. Overall, is there any way in which the odour will go completely, is there anything I can do to ensure it stays away. I am just so paranoid now and only venture out when I really have too. |

| Yes of course there's a way. There's a way to make odor go away so completely that you never even have to use deoderants. I never do. The trick is getting as clean on the inside as you are on the outside. Garbage smells, so take out the garbage! Get rid of all your old meals!!! If they don't end up in the toilet, they end up in your skin. |

| So a person who is pregnant can take the cleansing drink without harming the child? |

Hi and welcome to the forum.
One thing I am most concerned about is the lack of social skills your childern will have (by you never venturing out to playgroups ect) as children watch their parents and their partents become role models.
The other thing is that if you don't start socialising soon you might become depressed which is also no good for your well being or your children's.
We must find a way to keep you and your little ones "out and about"!
Take care and lots of hugs

The cleansing drink is safe, altho the cayenne should be minimized and only added occasionally because a pregnant woman has so many hormones rushing thru her, she doesn't need circulation aids!
Liquid Chlorophyll is very safe, and acts instantly as a deoderizer, taking all bad smells away.
Between the two you should soon feel confident to rejoin the rest of the world! |
