Hi Shelley

I printed off the protocol last night and went through it. I feel I need to do it.

I've started it today Very Happy

I have a few questions ...
1. In Stage 1, how do I know when I've eliminated all previous meals?

2. In stage 1, 2 and 3 etc. I would like to add the following supplements: bromelain, gotu kola and Co-q10 - twice a day with my emergen-C. Also, I would like to have nutritional yeast (beet mollasses based) with potassium broth twice a day ... plus kelp once a day ... on top of everything in the cleanse menu.

Will this interfere with the cleanse at all? I feel I need those supplements as part of my skin healing program right now. I'm due to see a derm/surgeon next Wednesday (9th) to get some work done on my face and I want to improve my healing response.

3. Also, can I confirm ... no food at all in stage 1 and only a fresh juice in stage 2?

4. Why isn't EVCO added to stage 1 and 2?

Thanks Shelley Very Happy

When you're no longer going. Smile Since you've already been introduced to the whole cleansing thing and all, stage 1 shouldn't last more than a day for you. Smile

You can start the co-q10 and kelp right away, but wait on the rest until the last stages when food is added. Bromelain might be okay too in the first stages.

Thanks Shelley Very Happy

All's going well so far ... apart from me already having the potassium broth and brewer's yeast (the best part of my day!)

I'll do stage 1 again tomorrow then, without the above and then go straight onto level 2.

Just looked in the mirror. My tongue looks paleish ... all over whiteish tinge on the pink ....... and a little yellow in the middle towards the back part. Do I need to repeat stage 1?

Not if you've emptied out all your previous meals. Go on to the next stage, but be sure to accent Ginger tea and other digestive/pungent teas like India Spice, Peppermint and use more Cayenne in the Cleansing Drink.

Hi Shelley

I'm on day 3! Hard to believe I've made it this far ... and this is coming from someone who's never managed even 1 day of my life without food Very Happy I'm having to cook for the whole family every day too .. and I have not given into temptation.

(I feel the MAP has helped me with this)

Days 1 and 2 I did an enema around 7am (since no natural BM was forthcoming)

Day 3 (today, when I started stage 2) I still have had no natural BM Sad and I took 7 capsules of oxypowder last night .. lots of rumbling noises though. Should I do an enema tonight?

I'm also using triphalla .. but nothing seems to kick start BMs any more ... I've done all the program ... stretches, knee bends, junping jacks, all the teas and cleaning drinks etc.

My tongue is heavily coated white right now too.

Apart from that, feeling quite well, skin looks a little better (so happy about that Very Happy ) and my body aches less.

Any advice for BMs?

I wouldn't do another enema so soon, especially while taking Oxy-powder. Something big must be going on to make your tongue so coated! Just give it time, keep drinking digestive teas, and take Triphala several times a day.

Could it be you have nothing left to come out? Perhaps you have already emptied yourself out and won't have anything more to come out until you eat a cleansing salad/cleansing cocktail.

Start of day 4 - I've had the tiniest of a runny BM this morning. Yes, I think you're right Shelley, there probably isn't that much left inside of me since all I've eaten in the last 3 days is 1 fresh juice ... and I have done plenty of bowel cleansing in the past.

Weird question, but if someone has nothing much left in them, is no bowel movement OK or is that still bad? 1 fresh juice a day won't produce a BM?

I'm starting to feel weak and getting slight headaches from the Chinese Bitters. Also, feeling flushed/hot. Also, very hungry now.

On the positive side I can now say "I CAN fast" and also my sweet tooth cravings have gone. Also, skin is much improved plus body aches are very minor now. I'm craving kichadi Laughing

if you're not eating much, no BM is perfectly okay. Smile The juice will give you a bit of fiber, but that will come out with the oxy-powder or enemas.

I really understand that joy in knowing you 'can fast'. It was a big break through for me also as I love food of any shape size and taste. The ability to have control over food (if you’re a food addict) makes one feel they can control anything in their life. CONGO - RATS!

I broke the fast Sad I felt great on it, even energised in a way.

I had had my first chiropractic adjustment yesterday afternoon and a few hours afterwards I felt really upset and felt I needed some warming food to comfort me, and today have been feeling quite tearful so have also eaten ... not junk I must say. I've only just put 2 + 2 together .. I think some of those clicks and crunches released something.

Still, 3.5 days of fasting is good for Vata/Pitta type I guess and I learnt that I can do that much, which is more than I've ever done.
