Hiya Hippiegirl! So glad you found my new location. It's great to have you here.
The problem with hard boiled eggs is the proteins get denatured and so are very hard to digest and much of the beneficial nutrients are lost. If you're at all allergic to eggs, you will be much more allergic to hard boiled eggs. They take as many calories to digest as they give the body, so they have 0 net calories, which is why they're such a favorite for weight-reduction diets, but the loss of nutrients makes that not so worthwhile.
I recommend raw, poached, soft-boiled and soft-scrambled over hardboiled. It's best to keep hardboiled eggs as a fun food, for those times when you really crave one, or egg salad, or deviled eggs. Not something to make a habit. |
