It's just another powdered protein really, which is bad for the kidneys.

then not worth the money, which is expensive. i do have another question. ive been cycling on and off kefir and i notice the itchy backside i get, which has improved a great deal, seems to act up when i drink kefir. is that more a function of giving the candida something it doesnt like...microbes killing off yeast, or of giving it something it does like, with the little bit of carbs and sugar in the kefir? just curious.

It could be a healing crisis symptom from your microbe colonies adjusting, and it could be the phosphorus in the milk. Have you ever supplemented calcium to right your calcium/phos ratios? I always recommend Cal-Mag Fizz to people because this is SUCH an important ratio to get right.

Oh yeah, I probably average about a packet of calmag a day, and i take a supplement pill that has all the minerals...cal, zinc, mag, etc. the itchiness used to be an ever constant horrible thing, but now i only notice while using kefir. but still its not nearly as bad as it was. thats why i cycle off and on, just to be safe that i dont overdo any possible carbs or sugar that may be in it.
