Just a note to say that Ive found the detox baths with niacin to be fantastic, has really improved the quality of my skin too.
Ive been using increasing amounts from 50mg up to 300mg so far, on a totally empty stomach and its something of a rush!
One interesting note, maybe someone has some advice, after my second week of doing them every 4 days I had quite a (I presume) healing reaction. I went to bed after a 200mg flush with a bath w. 1kg of dead sea sea salt. Over the next few days I felt incredible muscle weakness in my forearms, biceps, shins and quads along with random hot flushes and sensations of weirdness and incredible tiredness. Just cant keep your eyes open.
I was worried that I'd somehow given myself adrenal fatigue but its fading now, back to normal. Do you think it was a healing crisis - that I realeased something from fatty tissue because it felt so like what I felt like when I first got my CFS illness years ago! Or had I just overdone the cleansing?
Im trying to work up to about a gram of niacin in one dose and then taper it back down to clear out all my capillaries, following another protocol I read over on CZ many many months ago. |

| It probably was just a healing crisis, however, when supplementing just one B vit like Niacin, sometimes you can cause imbalances with the other B vits that can lead to symptoms. So just to be safe and sure, be sure to eat some NYF or take a full-spectrum B vite, like a B-50. Also, that's a lot of salt, so you may have thrown off potassium, so a couple high-potassium fruits or veggies wouldn't go amiss either. |
