| About a year ago I did a bowel cleanse using the Arise and Shine Chomper blend w/ cayenne. It has rhubarb root and I've read that too much rhubarb can poisen you due to the oxalic acid. Is it safe to take cleansing supplements with rhubarb in it? |

| Rhubarb is high in oxalic acid and one of the things you should avoid when you wish to give your kidneys a break. But you get such a tiny amount in those little pills it's really not worth worrying about it. It's when you eat several pieces of rhubarb pie that there's cause for concern, and even then no cause if you only do it every now and again. |
