| hi all. shelley, its been a while now being on your program and over time i began to feel much better, and recently started feeling consistently much better. its been about 7 months for the ala (ofcourse alternating weeks) and i think thats had a good effect. i am nowhere near where i hope to be but how would one know when he can stop the ala? what should i look for...a complete end of all symptoms? and candida aswell, what should i look for to know i am getting towards the end of this thing? is it something you can just tell from the ever nagging symptoms dissapearing and staying gone? and once symptoms do dissapear, should we keep the pressure on and continue the treatment for a length of time to ensure a relapse does not occur? how long? and then, the next thing i am thinking is juicing but the addition of sugar to my diet scares me. if symptoms abate, how long should we wait to start adding things like juicing to our diets? |

Make a new symptoms list each week and decide what goals you want from that. Transitioning back to an easier lifestyle is part of the process. Do it slow and don't start until just about all symptoms are gone. All symptoms of yeast should be gone and preferably all digestive disorders. Constipation and other chronic conditions can take a long time to fix, so it is possible to go back to a regular lifestyle, albiet with some adaptions to solve the remaining issues, before being entirely well. As long as the yeast is in balance and you've entirely cleansed the bowels you should be able to start eating some fun foods.
I don't think this site has much on transitioning yet, hmmm... it's definitely going into the book... adding more fresh fruit, cooked fruits, the occasional molasses/maple syrup, bread, but only one new thing a day and still following the guidelines for digestive power.
