Hi Shelley,
I have high blood pressure and take medicine for it and also drink Yogi peach detox tea 2x day to keep it down, but last week I ran out of the peach tea and decided to try this one called Weightless Cranberry, it had Uva Ursi and some other kidney cleansers. It made me feel really weak and I think dehydrated me so I stopped it, I also got leg cramps on it. I started drinking your rehydrating drink and think it helped. But the problem is my blood pressure is getting high because now I'm not drinking very much of my peach yogi tea because I'm afraid to have anything diuretic if I'm dehydrated, but my bp is getting high without it. Last night it was up to 166/100, after trying different things like lemon juice in water, Emergen-C, my peach tea, and finally peppermint tea it went down. The worst symptom I have right now is this slight pressure behind my eyes, they seem a little big to me like they're bulging a little bit, and I feel overall bad, nauseas, dizzy and weak. My liver is definitely clogged. Should I have a blood test to check my potassium levels, or any certain minerals? My thyroid was checked and it's in a normal range but on the higher end I think. I have really cold hands and feet and my temperature is always low. Is it safe to drink my peach tea 2x day to keep my bp down, even if I think I'm dehydrated? Is there anything you would suggest for me?
Thank you very much,
Melanie |

| I had V8 juice and feel a lot better, I think the potassium in it helped. My blood pressure is back to normal too. I feel sore behind my eyes though, maybe the blood vessels got damaged from the high blood pressure? |

Shelley,
I took calcium/magnesium and it's helping my eyes and head feel better. I guess my minerals are really screwy. Can you tell me what types of things they should check on my blood tests besides calcium, magnesium, potassium?
Thanks,
Melanie |

It was good you drank what you did. Diuretics always make one shed potassium, and when you get too low on that your salts get too high and that raises blood pressure! So everything you did was right on, keep on doing it but with small servings. These things will raise blood pressure:
Low magnesium, low potassium, low zinc, high/low calcium,
high/low sodium, high/low phosphorus, high iron, high/low Vitamin E, high/low choline, high Vit B1, low Vit B2, low Vit B5, low Vit B15, low folate, low Co Q10, heavy metal toxicity.
I've also noticed that taking Manganese several times (only like 3 RDA doses over 3 days) will help make the blood pressure pills more effective.
Have they checked your kidneys? What's your creatinine, BUN levels? Be sure to get a copy of your labs and have them do a full metabolic panel. |

Hi Shelley,
I got the blood tests results back and everything came back normal except they said I had low iron and recommended an otc Slofray and they said my hemoglobin was on the lower end of normal. They said they wanted to recheck it in a few months. I have a parasite infection still and also mercury toxicity. Should I supplement with iron or just do a parasite cleanse, or both? Also, every time I start a parasite cleanse with the anti parasite herbs my kidneys start hurting, I get sciatic pain and trouble urinating, and I read you said these herbs can really hurt the kidneys, so I always end up stopping the cleanse, I've never been able to do a cleanse for 3 months straight like they say to to kill parasites because I'm afraid it's hurting my kidneys. And whenever I try a liver cleanse I feel like it hurts my kidneys too. I'm not sure where to start. I do have a zapper I've never used mainly because I read it's bad to use if you have mercury toxicity. I have an enema bucket, would it be a good idea to start doing enemas? Also my mom's giving me her juicer tomorrow, would juicing be a good place to start? My blood type is A+, I'm not sure of my dosha, it seems to always change, right now it's more vata/kapha. I really want to do a parasite cleanse, that's probablay why my hemoglobin and iron is low right? I want to get better, where do I start though?
Thanks for your help,
Melanie |

Have you verified the parasite infection? Because if you're reacting to the herbs, it's best to totally avoid them. The kidneys cannot regenerate so you have to protect them best you can, and heavy metals toxicity almost always leads to kidney damage.
If I were you, I'd take the iron and do some metals chelation per Andy Cutler's protocol, and leave it at that for awhile. If you can completely verify without doubt that you have parasites beyond a candida imbalance, and which type of parasites, then you may want to take pharmeceutical solutions instead of herbs.
And whoever said you have to do a parasite cleanse for three months straight?????? Even if you're trying to destroy eggs, larvae and adult, the cycle is much shorter than 3 months. |

Shelley,
I've never had a test confirm I had parasites but I've seen worms come out during a colonic and some attached to bm's. I took Mebendazole the dr. gave me, and I thought it worked, I thought I was better but a few months later I noticed them again. But when I took medicine this time it didn't help. Then I found out about herbal parasite cleanses and they all said you need to take them for either 30 days or 90 days, not everyone says 90 days but I just wanted to be safe and take it as long as I could. Right now I'll just focus on doing everything to make my body not be hospitable to parasites and get my liver clean and my kidneys stronger, then later do you think it would be safe to do a parasite cleanse? If it doesn't cause any side effects or kidney pain?
I'm taking iron now and I feel a lot better by the way. And I'm reading Andrew Cutler's book, but don't I need to be healthier first before doing any mercury detoxing?
Thank you,
Melanie |

yep, you should be healthier first before chelating metals.
Did you confirm which kind of worm? Pinworms are notoriously hard to get rid of because of how the eggs get on all your clothes and towels. Either way, when you dose yourself for the larger parasites, you need to take days off. If the herbs actually work and are very strong, then you don't want more than 3 days' worth of worms dead and dying inside of you. Otherwise you risk toxemia. |
