Butter has a tiny bit of milk solids, so the recommendation is to use Ghee (clarified butter, which you can do yourself) or olive oil most of the time, but I did okay with butter myself.

Oatmeal is very hard to digest and notorious for being a mineral-leacher. Steel-cut is the most nutritious, but if you plan to make it a staple try to get into the habit of soaking it overnight. Bring it to a boil and then put it in the fridge, finish cooking the next morning.

I recommend the other non-gluten cereals from Bob's Red Mill such as their brown rice farina, which is very very easy to digest even if you cook it up quick and easy.

I find Ezekial bread very very dry and difficult to eat, possibly to digest too, so I don't recommend it unless you get desparate for bread. I made tortillas from brown rice flour and just had that, then I added in sourdough bread and had no negative effects so...

Concentrated tomato products are best avoided. The acids are tough on candida people. A fresh salsa may be okay now and again however. Tomatoes are one of those things that people react very individually to. All nightshade veggies are suspect when your immune system is compromised.

Hope that helps! Smile

http://www.germandeli.com/084213006646.html

these are the ingredients:
organic whole kernel rye, water, organic wholemeal rye flour, organic sunflower seed, sea salt, organic apple powder, yeast.

is this also tough to digest?

Yes, anything with seeds/nuts is hard to digest.
