I'm curious Shelley ... Is crying good for us ... cleansing ... healthy ... etc ... ??

Oh yes, absolutely. Both laughing and crying will release tension and stored emotions, but crying releases acids too in the tears, and the exiting of mucus cleanses the sinuses and liver, plus we often sweat too.

If you don't cry from mourning or suppress other strong emotions, they will get stored in your spinal column as evidenced by the line bisecting your tongue. This causes low-frequency stress and tension to your entire body. It's the kind of tension that we easily overlook in our modern lives, but a Yogi or someone really in touch with their body, like a dancer, would.

No wonder we tend to feel better AFTER a good cry

I always feel better after a good cry - the harder the better! I didn't know about any physical healing, but the psychological healing was always there. Reminds me that i'm due for another good one soon Smile
