Hi Shelley,
ok, I know, I'm probably being "perimenopausal" but bear with me here for a moment! On my right inner thigh, maybe a little bit up from the knee area, there is a section that is kind of "puffy", now the other leg has that too, but much less "puffy". OK, but, on the right leg, in that puffy area, there is a vein that has become visiible since Jan. when my legs went nuts with that varicose vein stupid thing. Well, I'd say about a month or so ago, maybe a little longer, I noticed that on that vein on the inner thigh, a little blueish "bump" appeard in the vein there. It isn't hard, yet a woman I know who is a nurse, had said to me that a clot doesn't have to be hard. Now, this has been there for a while now, and on occassion, i notice it kind of aches, which then makes my whole right leg kind of ache and feel stiff.
Yesterday, I was fine, I was waiting in my car for my son, and I started to notice this HOT feeling in my right leg (which, I've had before, in BOTH legs, that is hormonal and perimenopausal), but then, i felt this achey, tingling weird feeling in that leg. Again, that can easily be hormonal.
(I've ALSO had THAT before too) BUT, the thing was, that that vein on the inner area of the right thigh, where that blueish little round bump is...was popped up and out more, so that if you ran your finger over it, you'd definatley feel a "bump". Then, my whole body got HOT, again, hormonal...I've had that before. By the time we drove home, say about 1/2 an hr., BOTH legs were HOT and on the inner thighs there was this sort of reddish/purpleish blotchyness, but again, I've had that before too, and I do belive it's hormonal!!! THE THING THAT CONCERNS ME is this little blueish bump IN THE VEIN on the right inner thigh...well, it's not completley on the INNER thigh, it's a little more sort of on the inner, top, of the thigh. (somewhat near the knee). It wouldn't bother me so much, if it didn't ache, but it does. Sometimes that little bump in the vein, is more protruded than others. Sometimes it's flat, but the blueish round circle in thevein is still there. It's NOT HOT, or RED (other than that kind of rash thing that happens on BOTH legs ), it's just that that little bump aches, and the surrounding area too. I was also getting some upper thigh pain on and off, but not now. I know this is a long post, and I'm sorry...i just wanted to write down all the details so you'd know.
I know about varicose veins by this time, since in Jan. my leg veins went nuts, but many have subsided now. But, Shelley, if this vein, which IS visible is varicose, (yes i know the vein itself would ache), would it have that little blueish bump that pops up, and then flattens out, and would ONLY that little bump ache!? or would that be a clot? that's my concern...
thanks so much shelley! Sincerely, Starlight |
