Hi Shelley!
In the candida faq you mention to support the adrenals with gotu kola and licorice after being three months on the diet. Do you have to wait that long? I'm not done three months yet, but I've been feeling pretty weak lately, despite taking in your recommended tonifying foods, and I think gota kola might help. Can I take it before passing the three month mark? Thanks |

Absolutely. I need to change that bit. I was quoting Ayurvedic rules in regards to not having "sweet" herbs while cleansing. But I've looked up the herbs from a more scientific point of view, and there should be no problem. The only issue is that licorice is highly estrogenic, which is not good for a lot of people. But Gotu Kola is not estrogenic and not "clogging."
Make sure you're getting enough protein. That and the Gotu Kola should pep you right up. |
