Well thanks to member Anan's market insights the first book to be published will focus on balancing Candida and dispelling all the Candida myths out there. It will include cleansing/detoxing so those of you who wanted the low-down on liver flushing etc. will get it. I'm finding it much more manageable than the encyclopedia that we wanted.

I welcome suggestions for titles and candida-friendly recipes (see thread started in the Kitchen forum). For some reason I just can't think of a good title for a systemic candidiasis book. For instance, if I call it the Power of Digestion no one will know it's a candida book. Candida should be in the title, like, "The Definitive Guide to Managing Candida."

So if you have any ideas for the main title or subtitle let me know please!

"Increasing Your Power of Digestion Through Candida Management"?
That is way too wordy...but an idea! Smile

Fantastic news Shelley.

How about 'Vital Health Management - Candida'.
Then, when you write other books, they can be called 'Vital Health Management - Whatever'. A series. ?

Yes, I was hoping to have a series name and will probably go with Vital Health Management or something similar.

A lot of different companies have used the phrase Vital Health somewhere, all the .com versions are taken, so I was thinking of finding a new phrase but sheesh, seems they are ALL taken!

Shelley, could it be 'Shelley's Vital Health Management'? It would set you apart from the others, and identify you straight off. Maybe an internet site called that would be easier to get too?

SHELLEY'S VITAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT
BOOK ONE - CANDIDA

www.shelleyvhm.com
www.shelleyvitalhealth.com

Or something similar??

Yes, that would be great! but goodness, it seems weird to have my name in the title? but I guess nowadays it's all about branding?

There's already a "complete candida yeast guidebook" which I guess would be my main competitor. And I can't claim to be complete becuz I don't want to bother much with what candida is, or convincing people that they have it. I mostly just want to present "here's what you do if you suspect you do." I don't think it's necessary to re-publish what's already free on the 'net anymore, just tell people to Google it. Why kill trees for that? So really all I'm claiming is to be very effective.

In fact, I should make that part of my mission statement. "We don't reprint what's already been said, we like to save trees."

Oh and if you're not on the 'net you might not want to buy the book! because it will constantly refer to Internet sources... hmm... should I make it luddite friendly?

E-books are not quite as popular as the good ol' fashioned bound books, from what I have seen (it's too hard on the eyes to sit in front of a computer all day long!). How about changing the word "Vital" in "Vital Health Management" to something else, like "Essential" or "Necessary"? It does sound a bit odd to have your name in the title...it might lead someone to believe that it was another diet book or something (it would sound like another "Dr. Atkin's Diet Revolution," "Jenny Craig's No Diet Required Recipe Book" for example). Making up titles is probably the hardest part of writing! Very Happy

That didn't post the way I had it. Everything was centered under fighting candida.

Anan?!! Shocked

Some very good suggestions from you guys.......I was wondering what do you think about:

Kill Candida and recapture your health or

Kill Candida and regain your good health or

How to cure Candida – The only guide you’ll ever need

I agree with jlogan....e books aren't the same as a proper book......they always seem poorly put together (may just be me)....esp with so many e books on the net.

Would the 'speciality' nature of the book be lost if it was included as part of a volume?

I like beachbums title...maybe add......

Fight Candida

The Real Way: Through the Power of Digestion.

Now I've gotta think of some recipes............hmmmmmm Wink

Yeah, I like "fight" better than "Kill" because my paradigm is all about balancing it rather than trying to kill something - "killing" candida is only 10% of the total cure. So ... cure, balance, fight, candida through the power of digestion then maybe a subtitle mentioning the overall series. ..

If you think about it fighting candida would be better to put kill cause doesn't it say we have candida all the time it is just a matter of it overgrowing, like you said balance candida.
