Can whey from kefir be used in the saurkraut recipes from nourishing traditions?

I never tried it, but I ferment a lot of things and I'm pretty sure it would be beneficial, although a bit of juice from previous sauerkraut could be better. But try it out and tell me, will work for sure(taste might be a bit diffrent though). If you have any questions about fermentation, send me a message, I'm really passionate about it.
