I want to do a liver cleanse but can't because I have hypoglycemia and not eating will just put me out. I've been having really light stools that break apart when it hits the water along with constipation. I know I'm not making enough bile but don't know if it is because of gallstones, stagnent bile. or for some reason other reason maybe my gallbladder is just lazy. Also I have pain around my gallbladder liver area especially around 3-4 am with nausea. Been to the doctor and got some blood tests and other tests but nothing came out, and the doctor was no help. So can someone tell me how to get rid of this pain and get my bile moving again.

Hi Tim! Welcome to the forum, you've come to the right place.
Fasting is not entirely necessary. It just makes for a more comfortable flush. I've eaten meals all the way up to 6:00 and flushed at 11:00 with no difficulty. Just make sure to eat meals that digest quickly and easily, such as Pasta - there's a recipe in the FAQ that is ideal.
And flushing is not entirely necessary for liver cleansing. Please read about Liver Management in the FAQ, especially the Comprehensive Liver Cleansing post.
Hypoglycemia is a much-misunderstood issue. For the best, up-to-date information, check out this page:
http://www.acu-cell.com/dis-hyp.html
and be sure to read the guidelines for good digestion.
Pale stools may not just be low liver action, it can also mean a lack of friendly microbes. You may want to start eating organic, unsweetened kefir regularly. If your transit times are fast (no constipation yet no diarrhea) then that's a good sign that bile is being released, as bile induces peristaltic action.
Hope that helps! |

Thanks Shelley you are a wealth of information even though the information can be overwhelming. Right now I'm taking Beta plus by biotics research and I don't think its doing much. So I'm thinking of doing Coptis with GCG, but I'm worried of GCG cause I think theres alcohol in it? And i think I have a slight candida problem. Also my transit time is slow sometimes constipated so I suspect bile.

Yes, herbal tinctures are alcohol. That's a bit of a problem for candida people. Hmmm. What you can safely do as a candida person is drink dandelion tea and take either Dr. Cabot's Livatone Plus or Planetary Formula's Bupleurum Liver Cleanse. Cheaper than Julia's, and pills rather than tincture.

Will try the formula's but I think my gallbladder still needs some help and I don't think my candida is that bad and I think the risk of candida getting worse is worth the relief. So my question is since I don't really plan to do a liver flush will just taking the GCG without the flush yield any benefits?

Comprehensive liver cleansing will help your gallbladder too. GCG is just a stone dissolver, there are tons of others listed in the FAQ.
