here's my plan, parts of which I took from other fasting forums. I'm fasting with water and green tea for... as long as I can. I'm planning on 10 days, but figure when I get there, I can convince myself to go longer.
After the fast, I will:
1) two days - break the fast with orange and apple juice for at least two days
2)one week - move to a salad at lunch OR dinner, still drinking water and tea
3)two weeks - go to fruits and veggies for snacks and a nice salad for lunch OR dinner, still with the water and tea
4)two weeks - move to one healthy meal for lunch (healthy food, healthy portions) and a salad for dinner,
5) forever and then move to two healthy meals a day, some days, otherwise stick with the one healthy lunch and a salad.
No white flour, no sodas. I'll let myself get treats sometimes, but I think when your body is always eating healthy, it's not as needy of something over the top. But I won't deprive myself of the occassional memory food. I'm also thinking that I will not become a total vegetarian, but I will stop being such a chemically processed meat eater, do my best to eat grain fed chicken, etc. Also, because I believe I am a carbohydrate addict, I will pretty much stay away from potatos and pretzels, etc. I'll do my best to get whole grain pasta too.
I'll monitor my weight as I go |

that's a good plan for a Pitta person. You may want to add some homemade veggie broths, however, or freshly squeezed veggie juice. It helps the fast be way more comfortable.
Orange juice is not always the ideal juice. For some people it's a miracle healer, for others it just makes them acidic and get cankor sores. Green Grape or cherry might be better.
If you're fighting candida, it is essential to include digestive teas like peppermint, liquid chlorophyll or tabs, and probiotics. |
