Hey everyone!
I was just wondering about what your breakfast choices are?
I keep finding myself using a lot of oatmeal, and I'd much rather find other things to rotate as my breakfast choices - to prevent creating any sensitivities.
Ive tried the delicious salmon patties every now and again, but I'd like to find relatively quick (sub 30mins or maybe some preparation the night before) healthy breakfast choices.
My worry is that Im not rotating my foods enough!
Any ideas you have I appreciate.

If you like hot cereal, you could switch it up with buckwheat or quinoa flakes. Sometimes, I just have fresh juice and brazil nuts. What about Shelley's protein shake or some other keifer smoothie. Or eggs. Those are my ideas. |

| Bob's Red Mill creamy brown rice pancakes. I use his gluten-free flour to make them too. The recipe is on the package. They're soooo good with ghee and syrup. |

You can make good pancakes out of quinoa flour!
I found it at my health-store here at home. You simply take an egg, some water, some oil and ½-1 cup of flour and mix it so it get a pancaky-creamy consistence. If it gets thick, add more water.
Then you just make them like ordinary pancakes, add som cinnamon to the ready ones to make them a little "pungeant".
Poched (? don't know how to spell) eggs for breakfast with an avocado and some nuts make great breakfast. |

I've been doing congee in a flask at night with either brown rice or buckwheat. I make it so it's not too watery and throw in some cinnamon and ginger or nutmeg etc.
In the morning i put it in a pan with a big knob of butter and simmer it down to make it thicker then add some nuts or seeds and eat it with a carrot salad as a side dish. yummy |

| I really like vegetable soup for breakfast. I make it the night before, eat some for dinner and save the rest for breakfast the following day. |

| I've always had trouble making quinoa pancakes because they seem to come out gooey in the center no matter how crisp they are on the outside. What am I doing wrong? Because I love quinoa waffles which seem to bake up better inside than the pancakes do for some odd reason. But, I LOVE pancakes and would like to have them more often. |

Do you have access to Dr. Crook's candida cookbook? It has great b'fast recipes, including quinoa waffles. I prefer the amaranth ones. Really liked the corn ones also, but I've read too much about mycotoxins in corn to keep eating it.
The waffles turn out best if you add eggs, separated, whipping the whites, then folding them in. (Way better than pancakes if you ask me). They need to bake 15 min or so, or they're gooey.
One can save the waffles in the freezer and pop them in the toaster later, frozen--quick! They make good "bread" also. |

Some breakfast ideas ...
1) Fruit, yogurt, manna bread.
2) Oatmeal sprinkled with cinnamon, fruit, kefir.
3) Manna bread, molasses or nutbutter, kefir.
4) Fruit, two eggs, tortilla, little butter.
5) Tortilla, spread some nutbutter on it, add a banana and ...roll it up, it's DELICIOUS !!!!
HOPEFULLY Shelley approves first ... she's the expert |
