| I posted a question on the kitchen forum about spices. Truth is I like my food SUPER bland. So if I take cayenne capsules with my bland meals, will that have the same affect as putting spices in my foods? |

i think that's totally fine.
shelley has this recipe in the FAQ.

Trikatu
Trikatu is part of Pungent Therapy, a wonderful way to cure indigestion, increase digestive power, get rid of bloat, that uncomfortable feeling of fullness.
You need some 00 capsules. Health food stores and some drugstores sell them. They're usually made of gelatin.
combine:
1 tablespoon of finely ground black pepper
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cayenne powder
insert mixture into capsules. Take as needed or even if not needed. For instance, say you're eating something really bland, this will add the pungent spices you need right away.

Shelley, I just read this today ...
"Too much pungent flavor in food endangers the kidneys, and 'the muscles become knotty and the fingers and toe nails wither and decay'"
Very frightening !!
My question is: How much is too much ?????
Thanks very much |

oh good heavens... that's absurd! LOL!
Just keep in touch with your body. If you're overdoing it you'll know - you'll feel hungry and thirsty all the time. If one meal out of three is very spicy that's about right, in general. It really depends on the spice and the power of your digestion. If your digestion is very strong, back off on spices and use them for flavoring only. |
