I have what I think is irritant dermititis. In the past I was able to control it by avoiding certain products and using other products to heal it. Over the past five days it has been worse than I've ever experienced. Inbetween each of my fingers there is small blisters that ooze clear liquid, the skin is very dry, itchy, cracked, and inflamed.

For about a week I have been using a liver clease by Health Plus. I'm wondering if this is purging the toxins from the weak skin on my hands? I also use Omega complex and apple cider vinegar internally to help with my problem. The lotions and soaps I've had good luck with are even causing a servere rash. Do you think I should discontinue using this cleanse or go on with it? Also if there is any product I can try to ease the pain. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Heather, first let me give you a warm welcome to the Forum - Welcome !Smile)
As you may or may not noticed Shelley is on a vacation at the moment so, until she gets back we are going to jump in and try to help you.

OK, first have you done any tests to see if you have Candida issue? I've experienced something similar before I started Candida diet . Still from time to time it appeared, usually if I go off a diet for a while Smile If this is the problem you need to start with the diet ASAP. ACV is good anti - fungal and it will help you, but you may want to start with some other anti fungal as described in the link I gave you. Also it might be good to take some skin food , especially Nutritional Yeast Flakes as a good source of Vitamin B, this should take good care of inflamed skin.
Second, you mentioned that you have been using the Liver Cleanse, and I would suggest that before you start cleaning the liver, you should take care of your bowels. Most issues and skin also starts with congested bowel . It is very important to have clear elimination paths, and doing bowel cleanses, detox baths and Liver management will take care of that.

Ok, that's all I can think of at the moment. If something else crosses my mind I'll write it down.

Have a nice weekend,

Hi Heather nice to meet you.

I would say don't stop your cleansing process.

I had a bit of that about a month ago happen. I figured it to be exposure to a chemical on a new carbon-ed form at work. That, plus a slacking in the quality of my food intake (shhh don't tell anyone Rolling Eyes ) and a huge spike in life stresses left me raw and ready for some problem.

Well it is back in a much lesser degree right now. So I am on it.
Good clean supportive foods.
Healthier thinking and exercises. Positive thought and energy go a long way.

Ivana pointed you in a great direction. Get things working at the best on the inside and it will show on the outside.

I find that a good relaxing soak in a mini detox bath helps a great deal.
I dissolve a cup or two of Epsom salts and about a cup of baking soda into a warm bath and relax. pat dry the area very gently . It really helps relieve the itching and I think that the blistering is reduced too. It really is helpful and relaxing.

I have also started to take in my good oils again. ( I had kind of let them slip off a bit). Coconut oil and wheat germ oil are two I find good skin results with.
I also just read another post where someone was asking about a few things and Ivana posted a response which included P'darco - and it's anti fungal qualities and use for eczema among many other things. I remember having read some things on it before and being impressed by what people had posted on their results with it. I am definitely going to pick up a box of that tea tomorrow. I personally prefer teas to supplements.

I hope the bath helps minimize the worst of it.

good luck

Thank you so much, ivana and harmony, for taking the time to reply. This skin problem has really gotten me down, but I feel like I'm in good hands with all of the your knowledge.

I'm not familiar with candida testing. After looking over the foods to avoid I can already see I'm in trouble (major sweet tooth.) Now that I've read the fax it sounds pretty close to some of my symptoms. I will attempt the diet, although, it seems pretty strict. I would really like to continue with the Bragg's acv, but if you think I should switch to anopther anti-fungal I will certainly give it a try.

Earlier this year I used BP&C shakes for about seven weeks. I felt great and the minor rash on my hands had completely disappeared. I decided to stop the cleanse because I became worried about the bentonite(alluimn.) What products do you suggest for this cleanse?

I tried the detox bath with the ingredients that harmony mentioned along with ginger. I'm going to try it again without the spice. It seemed a bit too much. I also take olive oil and will give wheat germ a try.

Thanks again to the both of you
Heather

Hi Heather,

I know how Candida diet is like, being a sweet tooth myself and all  It is scary at the first time, but if you past the first month it is much easier BELIEVE ME Smile After that period you can start with some sugar substitute and this will make thing easier.
Don't worry about the Bentonite it is safe to use, it is good to cycle like in all the supplements. Now it would be a good time to start another cycle. P&B was always helping me with skin issues. For Candida issues it is recommended to take P&B shakes with some oils (Wheat germ oil is great for skin) that helps with better distribution.
First time I did detox bath it was hard for me, but the feeling afterward was amazing. So, if you want to get all the benefits of it try with Baking soda and ginger as described. Baking soda will also help you with your skin problems.
Oh, I almost forgot there is Candida test, not so accurate but you can give it a try. Here is the link www.stopyeast.com/saliva.html. Candida can manifest also through vaginal discharge, skin problems like eczema, seborrhea etc.
Ok, that's all for now, if you need anything else, just ask. There are lots of people here who have done a lot of searching and they can point you to the right direction.

all the best,
ivana

Ivana,
Thanks again-I really do appreciate your help. I will try the candida test in the morning. How long do you think it is safe to do the bentonite cleanse for? In the past I added chlorophyll should I go for it again?

Hi Heather,
I did my P&B shakes for 8 months and was doing just fine. It took me a long time to pass the mucous plaque, somewhere around 7th month I got it out. After that my bowels where pretty clean so I gave myself a break of couple of months. In case of Candida our cycles has to be longer, usually with healthy people it is ok to do bowel cleanse once a year. Shelley posted in the FAQ section best fiber shake for Candida , go for that one.
Don't worry it will go away, just be willful and thing will be better. I have been thru a lot last year. There where times where I wanted to quit and give up, but I did not and it paid off in the end Smile

Hello ivana,

It's great to hear you pulled right though your troubles last year! People like you give motivation to to us newcomers. Eight months makes me feel much better. I did them for seven weeks and was scared that it was too long. Were you doing five P&B shakes a day?

I did the saliva test this morning and it looked positive. I guess I can kiss some of my favorite foods goodbye Crying or Very sad. But you are right-it's all worth it in the end. My sister also tested positive and she is a smoker. Would she have a false positive due to being so phlembie in the a.m.?

One last question if you don't mind. I had read a post from Shelley to a guy trying to get nicotine out of his body quickly. She told him to use a good "mineralization protocol." Do you know where I might find more inforation on this?

Thanks again,
Heather

Hi Heather Smile

You also have Candida, join the club Smile)

When I started P&B shakes I started with just ones a day, and slowly increasing it to 3 times, didn't do more than that.

About mineralization protocol, here what I've pulled out from Shelley's posts.
Vitamins and Minerals are on this link. Aslo,
Quote:

In addition to that you have other fine options for mineralization: grade B maple syrup, molasses, Concentrace - a trace mineral supplement you add to water, just 1/2 teaspoon gives us all the goodness of the ocean - nutritional yeast flakes, Solaray's Mega Multi-Mineral, Cal-Mag Fizz, Emergen-C, therapeutic dosages of zinc (50-200 mg), seafood, etc.

Thank you ivana,

You have been wonderful about answering all of my questions! I'm not feeling quite so overwhelmed now.

Take care,
Heather
