I am going to take the detox bath and had a question. When do I take the niacin (how long before I get into the bath) and what role does niacin play in this? How often do you take these baths and how long do you sit in the bath?
One last question, does it make you light headed when you get out? I tend to get light headed and was wondering if there is a way to avoid this. Also, can the bath be done at night so afterward I could get right into bed or is this too stimulating. |

The Niacin causes a flush, which opens the pores, promotes sweating and the release of toxins. Only take the Niacin like once a week, if you want to do the bath more frequently (people wtih chronic illnesses should sweat daily) skip the Niacin and drink peppermint or chamomile tea instead. Take it at least 20 minutes prior to the bath and don't get in until you start feeling the tingle/itch.
It's very possible to get light-headed from the bath. If that bothers you, be sure to be well-hydrated first, and don't make the temperature too high.
You're supposed to do it late at night so you can just crash afterwards. |

I went to buy the niacin and it only comes in 500 mg in capsules. My b-complex has 75 mg. in it. So, do I try to open the niacin capsule and take a little of that or stick with the b-complex which has the niacin in it.
I went to 3 health food stores and they only had the 500mg. |

oh my goodness... those stores have awful buyers! that's way too much Niacin, and it's probably the non-flush kind to boot.
You can try the B complex but it's probably the non-flush kind too. OH well! It's not mandatory. Try peppermint or chamomile tea. |

No, the non-flush kind said so on the bottle and I bought the one that was regular. Could I just take a capsule and est. 1/5 and then divide that in half? (I would be like a chemist in my own kitchen ) If it isn't that important I could do the tea....if not I can take a sprinkle of the one I bought. I'm about 130 lbs. and 5'8" so I figured on 40 mg. like you said. |

oh you already bought it! sorry I didnt' catch that in the prior post.
Yep, you can divide it up yourself. I did that with my 100 mg which was all my health food store had. I just opened the capsule, poured most of it out and put it back together. easy peasy. |
