Shelley, this recipe seems like it's ok. The only thing I'm not sure about is the sesame paste (tahini). Will it be OK to use? I can't wait to make it!. I'm trying to find some Ezekiel bread, but have had a difficult time doing so. Nonetheless, I'm making it tomorrow with bread or not! Hehe, I LOVE hummus.

BTW, I'm gonna use fresh chick peas, not the canned stuff.

Oh,a nd can I use store-bought lemon juice, or should I use the juice from freshly squeezed lemons?

Thanks.

Ingredients 2 cups chick peas, soaked and cooked or canned, drained and rinsed
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 T lemon juice
¼ c water
3 T tahini (sesame paste)
½ to 1 t cumin
½ t paprika

It looks good to me except I would most likely use less tahini...I've found a little goes a long way. Smile
