Thnx.

I don't have the herbs yet. I plan on getting LiverTone or Liv52 online (think I found some places to get from - I'll let you know after I've had another look round).

If I decide to take the Gentian then I will prob get from a local Chinese Medicine shop.

Good luck for Tuesday.

It depends on your needs which is best. Livatone Plus is an excellent all-around liver cleanser, metabolizing both fats and chemicals. Liv.52 is best for chemical compounds, not so great for fats. Just taking a combination of gentien and bupleurum is helpful, but it depends on the form that you take. Tinctures are most powerful and don't require a lot of icky tasting tea drinking. Wink

Thanks for the reply shelley.

I've ordered Planetary Formula Bupleurum Liver Cleanse last night. I'll try that first.

Then I think I might try the LivaTone if needs be afterwards.

I'm gonna do my 4th flush this weekend but then leave it 2 weeks until the next one. Ill start to take the herbs as soon as they arrive.

Are the herbs as crucial in liver cleansing as the flushes?

I'm a bit worried about the strange ingredients in them. Are they completely safe?

Thanks again.

I did my 4th flush last night and got more stones out today.

They were all pretty much small ones, with chaff aswell. No-where near as many (or as big) as the 3 previous flushes. Does this mean I'm getting cleaner? I hope so. But I haven't felt much improvement allergy wise.

I'm hoping that it will clear up my Post Nasal Drip and white coated tongue (which I think causes bad breath).

I'm gonna wait 2 weeks till my 5th flush. I gagged when drinking the OO mix last night (I'm usually ok with it). It almost came straight back up Sad .

Gonna start with the Bupleurum on Tuesday too. For 2 weeks. I hope this helps.

Take care.

Yep, the herbs are crucial! The flush just gets out bile and stones, the herbs and vitamins etc. ensure that the many other compounds in the liver itself that are not stones are flushed away as you eat fats, and they push the liver to protect and create more liver cells. Stones are just congealed fats. The liver does 500 things for us, involving millions of different chemical compounds, all of which need to be dredged out.

Hi diggler, I also had trouble with the OO on my last flush, real bad nausea and hardly any sleep. There is no way I could do the flushes on a weekly basis Laughing

I also have still got the coated tongue and allergies seem a tad worse, but, have started my planetary formula herbs a few days back and hoping to get some results from them as well as keeping on with flushes.

Has anyone who has used these herbs got any noticeable effects from them? And if so how long did they take before helping with out with symptoms?

Thanx for any info and best of luck to you diggler.

Thanx Ritchie, I'm about to start taking the herbs too.

Shelley,

Am I going about it the right way by trying to cleanse my liver, in order to cure my allergies, coated tongue and PND? Is there anything else I should be doing? I'm going to do a juice fast soon also, maybe for 5 days.

I don't practise any bowel management as in your faq, but I do eat a high fibre diet, no processed foods, and have regular BMs (at least 1 per day). My colonic nurse says I have very good bowels.

I've done 4 liver flushes now, with the stones being fewer and smaller on my last flush.

As for the liver herbs, I am about to start taking Planetary Formulas Bupleurum Liver Cleanse. Should I follow the instructions on the bottle and take 2 tablets twice a day? How long should I be taking them for?

I may also use LivaTone Plus in the future.

Any advice you can give me would be much appreciated (and I'm sure Ritchie would benefit too as we seem to have the same problems).

I'm really desperate to cure this allergy/tongue problems as I believe it gives me bad breath which is restricing my life. I'm otherwise in very good health, I'm fit and active and suffer no other health complaints and have a very good diet.

Best wishes to you Shelley. Smile

Yep, liver cleansing is key, but it's not all you have to do. You have to eat the right foods and prepare them the right way, following the guidelines for digestive power. Coated tongue means you need Pungent Therapy and to stop abusing your digestive power.

Sounds like you only need bowel management before and after liver flushes, but when there's a tongue coat and bad breath you need digestive management or bowel management depending on the type of coat and smell. You may be lacking digestive enzymes, in fact, you may be mistaking allergies for food intolerances, it's a common error, and food intolerances do cause bad smells. You may be smelling because foods are putrefying in your gut too much, but that would also mean flatulence. If you don't have flatulence, then the smells could be due to overworked kidneys, dehydration, and a high level of sulphur in the diet. Be sure to try liquid chlorophyll and see if it helps the body odor.

Self-dosing recommendations are to take half the recommended dosage (because you can't take it back if it's too much for you) and see how you do, then gradually increase dosage, or add a second dose, until you get a detox reaction. Then either back off to the last dose to stop the headache, or suffer and keep the dose until the headache goes away and keep to that dose until the bottle is gone. Review your symptoms list once the bottle is done, and see if you need another one.

Shelley, thanks so much for the reply. Much appreciated as always.

I believe that any odor that my breath has comes from my tongue. In fact I'm nearly 100% certain as there is no odor when I scrape the coating off. Do you think this is still digestive problems? I think that maybe the Post Nasal Drip (allergies?) is providing a nice food source for the bad bacteria to feed and this is causing the coating. So if I can stop the PND then maybe the coating will go.

The white coating is kind of like plaque. I can get rid of it temporarily with Grapefruit Seed Extract or Chlorhexidine mouthwash. This also leads e to believe its bacterial plaque.

As for my allergies. The main 2 I believe are hay fever (100% certain) and dust mites. The reason I think its dust mites is because I wake up every morning with one blocked nostril, and as soon as I get in bed my nose clogs up. With dust mites in my bedding I think this causes the reaction. I'm gonna get some anti-allergy bedding soon, when I can afford to.

You also mentioned body odor. Fortunately I don't suffer this problem. Just bad breath when the coating is present on my tongue.

Do you think any of this makes sense? And would you still approach the cleansing the same way?

Thanks for the advice about the herbs - I'll start on a low dosage tomorrow.

Best wishes. Smile

I have the same exact problem! Recently, it's been my left nostril that always cloggs up. But the funny thing is, after I do a liver flush, no more sinus problems. However, a day or two later, the clogged nose returns. This makes me wonder if it's due to a congested liver, or allergens. And why is it my left nostril?? My face also tends to break out worse on the left side too. Strange.

We do a lot of cleansing whilst we sleep, and anything wrong we ate during the day will leave us with clogged sinuses or sore throat from the post-nasal drip.

Remember, the sinuses help the liver cleanse by exiting toxins, and the tongue coat represents the coat covering the intestines. And acne on the LEFT side of the face is not acne at all - it's food sensitivities, most commonly nightshade veggies. If the "acne" doesn't have a white head, it's a hive, not true acne, and then you know it's food sensitivities, which are going to get more and more common as we evolve, unfortunately!

So cleansing the tongue is something you gotta do to have a fresh mouth, but cleansing the bowels is what you have to do to prevent the tongue from getting that coat. Proper tongue coat treatment is simple pungent therapy - ginger tea, Eater's Digest (fennel, cinnamon, peppermint), etc. Stop eating whatever is clogging you too. Stick to the Power of Digestion guidelines carefully.

Yep! and it could be left-side dominant because of how you sleep at night, and because of where the obstruction is in your liver and bowels. So ... more liver, bowel and lymph cleansing! And more raw oils! Smile

Thanks again Shelley,

I'll definately read up on Power of Digestion and Pungent Therapy, whilst continuing with my liver cleansing.

I'm thinking of doing a detox fast soon aswell. Probably for around 7 days.

Thanks. Take care.
