Hoodia Gordonii -- weight loss miracle herb?

Hi Shelley,

This is "written on the subway walls" if not in tenement halls. And actually, it's in ads written in Spanish. -- HOODIA GORDONII -- But the words jumped out at me and I found on line that it's a S. African herb that tribespeople would use to stave off hunger whilst on long journeys. That sounds mighty romantic. Also, as an herb for staving off hunger and, so, weight loss, it has no side effects. (More romance?)

I've now found it in a paper catalgue that came in the mail from a company where I have bought many good things.

Do you know anything about Hoodia Gordonii? (I used this site's search function, but nothing came up.)

Nope! don't know much, but I DO know this: hunger is only 20% of the story when it comes to weight regulation. Most of us are not overweight because of hunger, and don't eat less simply because we're not hungry. So appetite suppresants are only slightly effective as a weight-loss tool, hardly worth the cost.
