1. i'll soak millet flakes, brown rice flakes and maybe little oat flake;

2. also i'll soak some seeds and nuts like almond, pumpkin, sunflower etc

3. i'll break up thenuts into pieces

(sorry if there are typo errors, my keyboards on he blink)

4. i'll mix this all with some organic dried fruit

now i'm not sure if i should put this in the oven now to dry maybe on a low heat for a bit so the fruit cooks (less ugar but need fibre) and the nuts dry out but i need the protein to be in tact and nutrion to be good..

anythoughts any one

smooth

180 degrees is a nice temperature for slow drying (dehydrating) things like nuts. Figure on leaving it in at least an hour, take a handful out, let it cool, do a "crunch test." Nourishing Traditions says most nuts require 2-3 hours I think. I haven't gotten around to trying their snack recipes yet, I tend to just eat nuts raw and leave it at that.

If the fruit is already dried, don't put it in the oven, it will just make it too hard.
