Greetings Shelley
i have some questions, sorry that they are a bit unrelalted but mmmm thats the way my mind seems to be working at the moment.
As i am studying at a wonderful integrated health university and have access to many beautiful fresh herbs i decided to make up my own tea the other day to help with all my exam stress, however i am a little clueless to whether or not this potion will affect me negatively as i have candida and bad leakygut......... it tastes really good though
i mixed
gingko biloba, rose petals, passion flower, gotu kola and marshmallow flower
im just a bit worried about the rose petals and flowers? will these aggravate the candida??
I would be greatly appreiciative if you could run by me the benefits of taking gotukola again, i just put some in for good measure as i remember you citing its benefits in a previous post.... . . some insight would be brilliant.
also as my travels to india draw nearer I am unsure whether or not to undergo vaccinations..... i have visited my local homeopathic clinic, (again a question, do you thjink homeopathic rememdies wouldinteract with candida as they are in sugar pills) its just a no win battle!!))
I was wondering however if you know anything of the effectivness of taking high dose B1 to prevent mosquito bites, but again, would this bother my yeasties.....
Ive been eating a truck load of almonds at the moment, literally at least 150g a day! do you think this may be indicative of a deficiency or just a food intolerance creeping up, i do actually crave them and cant seem to eat them fast enough..... not good i feel
Is bee pollen a nono for candida people? i do love it on my quinoa flakes in the morning with a big dollo of coconut oil, yum!
thankyou for your time and keep up the brilliant work, you are a true angel for helping so many people and giving your time to every single post!

Hi Kat! You really must report on your trip when you get back. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
That tea sounds wonderful. Check up on Passion Flower and Rose Petals - I forget if they're estrogenic. If they are, they are contra-indicated for candida people. Otherwise they are fine in small amounts.
Gotu Kola is the BOMB. It feeds and regulates the adrenals, really helps with fatigue but without the nasty side effects of caffeine. Helps you retain information too, especially when combined with gingko biloba, so that's a good tea for exams!
I'm against vaccination cocktails, but not altogether against vaccinations. The trick is to choose one or two and only get those, preferably days apart. Otherwise the body cannot differentiate, and it is only with proper recognition that the immune response is accurate.
B vits are great for candida people, particularly Biotin and B6. What really keeps mosquitos from biting is to avoid simple sugars, which candida people already do. Mosquitos love sweet blood, sweet fruit. Don't be sweet and they won't like you. That plus a bit of natural repellent should take care of you just fine.
Almonds are a super-food, very balancing, highly nutritious. So long as you're digesting them, you can enjoy them. It helps to germinate them before eating. Just soak them overnight in warm salted water. I blend them up in a protein shake or make almond flour to add to my pancakes.
Bee pollen is sometimes okay, sometimes not. people wtih a lot of sensitivities and allergies can react to it the same way they react to air-borne irritatants like pollen. If you feel fine when you take it then go for it! highly nutritious. I'd recommend it more often but I react negatively to it - and I don't react to pollens, so it's a mystery.
Hope that answers your questions! |

| Tetanus shots are pretty safe and a good idea to keep current. For travel, it depends on where you're going. I've never bothered just for travel, but then, I've stayed mostly to European or North American countries. |
