Hi Shelley,
I was frustrated last night at the store to find absolutely no good fruit for my morning fruit juice this week. So I resorted to my frozen blackberry smoothie with cran-cherry juice. So is frozen fruit acidic? Does it matter? Will I still cleanse? I am doing lots of congee, flaxseed, greenfood, carrot juice, fruit juice..... My colon is so happy

frozen berries aren't acidic. just think of it as a early permafrost that's how they make sweet ice wine.
i think it will go bad if it's cooked then stored (tho possibly not like jams?) but if it's a whole food being frozen (i.e. no perservatives chemicals etc) it stays the same when thawed.
hope that helps! |

I use frozen mango and frozen assorted berries all the time when there's no good and cheap fresh, and my body still likes it. As long as they picked it while ripe, it won't have an acidic post-digestive effect. Nothing to worry about there. |

| How funny. I tried mango and berries for the first time ever today. Never had a mango before. Not sure I like it though. Thanks! |

| I don't mix the mango with the berries, mangoes have quite a distinctive taste all by themselves, doesn't mix well with berries. |

here's an article about those Cascadian Farms frozen berries some might be interested in! i, for one, was a little curious when i noticed their ingredients contained the puzzling phrase "organically grown and processed blueberries"....huh, processed blueberries? so i looked it up:
