Hey Shelley,
I'm actually asking this for a friend of a friend. She has a teenage daughter that is having some serious health issues. I'm not sure the LF forum is the right place to ask but this is where I always end up Anyway her daughter has CVS (cyclical vomiting symdrome). She throws up every day and has severe migraines often. As a baby/toddler she threw up a lot, had lots of ear infections and was put on meds and developed colitis. The colitis has since been resolved. She has been to many doctors and had LOTS of test which have not showed anything. Can you recommend where they should start. I'm not familiar with CVS but I can't imagine throwing up every day It doesn't look the doctor to doctor path is working for them and I think they would be open to trying something else. Thanks for time and help! Gayle |

Hiya Gayle! Always nice to hear from you.
Oh that poor child. Okay, has she had any massage or osteopathic therapy done? I'd start there, along with digestive power management.
If a body immediately rejects things at odd times, it's usually due to backflow. Backflow can be caused by lots of different things, all of which can lead to colitis/ear infections: clogged liver/gallbladder, which won't necessarily show up on tests; lack of friendly organisms; lack of stomach acids; very bad posture that puts the stomach out of position so foods don't exit it like they should; bad shape of small and large intestine. If she stands with her shoulders stooped forward this is very likely.
It's also possible that she has a highly-developed nerve channel path from the Vagus nerve to the part of the brain that manages vomiting, and in that case, pressing firmly and steadily on the top of her skull, top of the crown, while she's sitting upright in a chair will relax her entire viscera and bring some relief.
it's important that she not ever lie down after meals, best to go walking, and to only eat about 1 cup of food at a time and follow the guidelines for digestive power and food combining.
I wouldn't allow her any milk or sodas, and start her on peppermint tea and peppermint-fennel-cinnamon tea (Eater's Digest) right away and see what it does. If it helps, that's very telling of what's wrong. If I could see a picture of her tongue or have it described, and a general list of foods that she eats, that might help me be more definitive.
Hope that helps! |
