Hi Shelly!
You helped me to find a personalized diet...unfortunately my parents came into town and I cheated. Oh well, such is life. I want to do a liver flush, since that is what you suggested but I feel like I should concentrate on my tongue and bowels first. I am planning to do a three day ginger tea fast starting on Thursday and add a salt water flush on Saturday morning. Does this seem like an okay idea? I was wondering how much tea you suggest I drink. Is more than three tea bags a day safe?
I was also wondering about coconut oil. I read someone's post about using it for detox...I couldn't find it in the FAQ so I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction.
Last question...what kind of store bought kefir is the best choice? I have been using Helios (I think). |

Any store-bought kefir should be fine as long as it is unsweetened and preferably from an organic source of milk.
A tea fast should include teas besides ginger - ginger is fantastic, two cups a day is good, but you need more fluids than that! Your other fluids can be peppermint tea, alfalfa for the minerals, a Detox tea that has dandelion and burdock root for cleansing the liver (just one cup of that - ti's powerful stuff!) and chamomile for late at night to ensure good sleep, as that can be difficult while fasting. My Cleansing Drink is also very helpful.
An SWF on the third day would be fantastic, very cleansing.
You can simply eat a tablespoon of extra-virgin coconut oil off the spoon, once a day, to help the lymphs. |
