| Hi, in terms of healthful food combining, which would be better, combining oatmeal with blueberries, or oatmeal with yogurt? Or are they both no no's? I sweeten it with stevia, but I like one of these extra ingredients added for taste. Thanks all! |

If in doubt, try it and see! As long as the meal is small and your digestive power is strong you shouldn't have problems with either.
Dried blueberries can be a mite constipating, some people recommend eating a handful to cure diarrhea. I've never experienced that and I adore blueberries, eat them all the time, fresh, frozen, sometimes dried. But that's what they say! go figure. |

i guess technically they are both no-no's. starch and fruit isn't good (especially acid fruit like berries!!!) and neither is starch and protein (milk products). all milk products should ideally be taken alone which is why more digestive lassi's really have no other ingredients besides spices.
miso is a nice addition to grains!
dried fruit might be better with the oats as it is higher in carbs and doesnt digest quickly like fresh fruit.
as shelley said, experiment, and post your results i'm still figuring out what to do with my grains in terms of food combining too... |

| Well, I've done both, plus combined the oatmeal, yogurt and blueberries all together, and don't notice anything negative. I think I have strong digestion, as I never get indigestion. Plus, I take digestive enzymes with my meals, so I suppose I hope that would counteract any wrong food combining! |

| yea, both of those would probably help. my digestive system is reallly sensitive, when i do anything wrong, it lets me know in various ways. so thats why i super careful about it. enjoy that combination for me please, it sounds delicious! |
