| If this has been posted already, would you kindly direct me? If not, is it possible to make up a foods list for things that both increase inflammation and decrease inflammation, like the food lists for "high in" like the sulfur, iron, etc......? |

Hi JF, just wondering how you are doing? Are things still going well with Julie? Are you going to chelate Andy's way?
I've just had some thyroid tests done, seems everything is 'normal' but I'm told otherwise by people in the yahoo thyroid support group. I'm very confused with everything
The food's containing iron and sulphur etc lists are under 'Diet Management' in the FAQ.

Hi, Anne!
I know where the sulfur/iron lists are. I was asking if an inflammation/anti-inflammation list(s) could be added as well.
I am doing good. In fact, I meant to notify you of these great books I am reading at the counselor's suggestion. I bet you'd really like them, too.
"Waking the Tiger"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/155643233X/qid=1113844648/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/104-1993631-8313528
and "The Body Remembers"
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0393703274/qid=1113844648/sr=2-2/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_2/104-1993631-8313528
In studying these books I am getting very well in touch with my physical side. In getting in touch with my physical side, many of my symptoms are easing. I have not yet begun the sound therapy (similar to EMDR). But, it furthers body awareness like these books do. Really amazing stuff. The quality of my meditation is improving as well.
What did your results say? What's your T3 to T4 comparisson? My results were also in the normal range, but they were not equal to oneanother. T3 was low/normal. T4 was normal. While both will say "normal", if they are not balanced with oneanother, then NO, you are not normal. You are out of whack and toxic. What's made the biggest difference for me has been the coconut oil. Great stuff.[/url] |

ah, interesting!
foods that increase inflammation are refined carbs, bad fats (hydrogenated), phony fats, and of course anything that you're allergic to or intolerant of.
Many people are intolerant of Night Shade Veggies, and these can cause inflammation. Potatoes (especially if they have a green skin), eggplant, tomatoes (especially if cooked and concentrated into a sauce), tend to be the worst offenders of the nightshade family.
Dehydration will increase inflammation.
foods that decrease inflammation with natural anti-inflammatory properties are fish oils, cold, deep-water, and/or fatty fish like mackeral, swordfish and salmon. Anything high in Omega 3 and 5's like Flax seed oil, Udo's Choice, most nuts and seeds.
Bromelain, found in pineapple, reduces inflammation.
Ginger.
Garlic
Nettle
Barley, especially barley tea
apples - especially the skin of green apples
red onions
cinnamon
cayenne pepper
rosemary
turmeric
basil
olive oil
aspirin
probiotics
exercise
anti-oxidants (Skin Food plus ALA) |

Oh, also. I am not starting chelation, yet. We are still getting me "in order" so to speak. LOL Might start chelation in another month. She suggested very low doses of DMPS to begin with. Also, an acquaintance of mine here in town has a friend who is mercury toxic, and she is cleaning herself out in some manner. I was given her number and intend to call her to see what she is doing.
I may very well try Andy's protocol, yes. I'm just not going to do anything until I feel stability. Right now, I am having my period AGAIN just two weeks after having it before. Since I am also right in the beginnings of getting my thyroid/adrenals sorted out, Julie says it's not uncommon for the hormones to go wonky like that in the first month or two. Then, they normally settle back down. We shall see what happens. |

Hi,
Ooops yes sorry I misread your message
Those books on trauma look very interesting
I'm taking a Aussie flower remedy for trauma/damaged auras at the moment.. it's called Fringed Violet and hoping it will help me on an energetic level.
I haven't got my T3 yet, supposed to have had it done but they didn't include it....having it on Thursday. My TPO is 26 ('normal' range up to 60) auto immune screen - 'normal'. The TSH and T4 I had done last month were 1.7 and 13.7 respectively. It's irrelevant really as I know I'm hypo and my recent worsening symptoms....anaemia, loads of hair falling out and low body temperature glaringly point to hypo. I've probably said before that these were triggered by the ALA episode.
I'm seeing a nutritionist tomorrow so I should feel less stressed with support from her. Hopefully I'll get a bit more stable too before chelating.
I've been meditating too recently I have to be in the mood but when I am, it really calms me down.

| Ya, if you were on ALA prematurely and incorrectly, then it can increase your metal toxicity symptoms, the thyroid and adrenals being the very first to suffer. It makes perfect sense. My thyroid and adrenals were shot by the time I got to Julie. |
