Shelley,
My wife and I would love to get started on the fiber shake concoction.
Only trouble for my Wife is, she hates to use Psyllium (She tried it before with a proprietory bland with Bentonite-too harsh for her).
Also being Estrogen Dominant. We have rulled Flax out for her.(I`m fine with it freshly coffee grounded). We used De`Natures Colon Cleanse for three months. Worked well 6 months ago.
Q....What could my Wife try as an alternative fiber...for long term use in the EVOO/Caproil/Fiber shake. We are soooo...angst to get going some day on the liver cleanse!
Thanks a million Shelley. |

well golly there aren't a lot of choices for homemade fiber shakes after taking both flax and psyllium out of the equation. You can make a fiber "soup" that amounts to about the same thing if you have a juicer to pulp things up. That way you can use just a little bit of psyllium or oatmeal or an alternative grain (grind up in coffee grinder), little bit of green apple pulp, carrot pulp. Cook it up just a little until it's like thick apple sauce and very soft, then add the oils and eat!
Some commercial cleansers are a mixture of psyllium, apple pectin and guar gum, which makes them more "gloppy" and easier for people to handle, especially if there's slippery elm in it. She could try one of them and then add what she wants to it. |
