Hello, glad i've come across this place!I am 22 and i feel i have candida but am not sure how severe you would class it as,i took antibiotics for about five years for acne. The only really symptom i suffer from is that when i have anything sugary i.e sweets biscuits lots of fruit basically simple sugars i notice i get a itchy red area to the sides of my nostrils this varies in how irratating it is as to how much sugary food i have had.
Then after a day or two it will sort of calm down and flake off.
Also i tend to wake up alot with a thin white coating on my lips i've heard this is a symptom of candida.
What are your(or anyones)thoughts on this?
If the basic idea of getting rid of candida is to starve it,wouldn't it be a half decent idea just to sort of not each much for a couple of months and only eat foods that aren't going to feed the candida sure your gonna lose a bit of weight and be pretty bloody hungry but surely this is going to be effective. Also has anyone got any BASIC ideas on simple meals like what to have for breakfast, what about quiona flakes?
Theres an idea what if i only ate say quiona flakes for breakfast and dinner then just some other meal that for tea that everyone agrees isn't going to feed the candida?Surely this would starve it?
Anybody's advice comments and such are very welcome |

Hi Eddie, welcome to the forum! I"m so glad you found us.
Yes, that definitely sounds like a candida problem, but not a bad one really. About 3 months of a restricted diet should put you to rights soon enough.
Please read th post in this forum about my Candida Diet guidelines. Then read the FAQ, as much of it as possible - it all helps! ESPecially for candida and acne issues. The recipes in the Essential Recipes section, and Beverages section, are very very helpful. You can live on Kichadi, soup, basic veggies, and the Kefir Protein Shakes no problem. Just use Stevia as your sweetener for the time being.
If by quinoa flakes you mean the hot cereal, go for it, great stuff. If you mean a cold cereal similar to Special K, that's not good. Cold cereals are the most highly processed foods, all nutrients and proteins are killed off and just drain your body of precious minerals.
So start reading and let me know if you have any other questions! |
