culturelle is a probiotic and I was wondering how good it is compared to say primal defense or three-lac. The website: http://www.culturelle.com/index.jsp has a lot of information about it.

well Threelac gets a "thumbs down" here. Primal defense is great for short term, but it doesn't have a lot of residents, just SBO's.

Our position thru much trial and error is that the best way to get probiotics is from Kefir. Kefir has a wide strain of friendlies, much more than yogurt, and has the best "delivery system." Also good are:

taking live acidophilus supplements, from the refrigerated section
rectal implants of live acidophilus
cultured foods like Bragg's ACV, saeurkraut, cortido, Kim Chee
