Hi Shelley. I have some questions about topical yeast infections. I know that sometimes vaginal yeast infections cause no symptoms. So is there a way to tell if you have one when you have no symptoms? Also, how do you get a yeast infection elsewhere on your skin? Can you give yourself a topical yeast infection if you have a systemic yeast infection?

Skin infections are easy to spot, they have telling signs like white patches, flakyness, red irritations, like that. The mildest form of imbalance is a recurring itch with no visible symptoms, but that tends to only happen to tissues that are often moist or mostly mucus membranes like the tissue around the anus. So no need to think you have one if you have no symptoms. Smile

Systemic yeast infections can lead to just about any localized infection, but they don't always, which is why the systemic version so often goes undiagnosed.

Could an occasional itch in the vaginal area or the throat be caused by a systemic yeast infection? My throat itches sometimes. Could that be caused by my systemic yeast problem? My mouth and throat look completely normal, but you mentioned that sometimes there are no visible symptoms of a local yeast infection.

That can be a side effect, yeppers. It can also be due to mucus or lack of Skin Food, or because your system is too overloaded with bad acids. when that happens our skin gets hyper-sensitive.

Then I most likely don't have to worry about having a local yeast infection. Thank you.

Right. Just take it as a sign that you need to balance your body a little better is all. Smile
