Shelley,
As you probably know by now, I will be undergoing colon cleansing in the coming weeks. I plan on doing bi-weekly enemas to help reduce die-off effects. Are there any particular enemas you recommend to be used on a bi-weekly, or every-other day basis? By the way, I think it's worth mentioning that I live in a university dormitory and share a bathroom with another fellow. Thanks. |

When you need something small and hide-able, then you have to go with an enema bag or enema bucket rather than an entire colema setup.
now this is NOT the BEST enema bucket, but it is the CHEAPEST I've ever found. It's at www.healthandyoga.com. I own one and it works great, but the steel is not stainless and I wouldn't use it for a lot of coffee enemas. Rubber enemas are better for coffee because it can leach nickel out of metals.
There are many others, including a 2-quart enema bag you can get off Amazon (see Amazon sources post), and I've heard that Wal-Mart carries them too for a very reasonable price. That's worth looking into. |

that's it!
The can itself is stainless steel, but there are a couple bolts on mine that are showing rust. |

Hey, Shelley. I need your advice. So here's the deal...I have all the necessary materials needed for my Colonix cleansing program. I have Primal Defense, Fungal Defense, and the Colonix kit. I was planning on buying the enema can kit mentioned in this thread, but after doing some research, it seems to me that coffee enemas are more effective than Celtic Salt enemas, and because the can has non-stainless steel bolts, I probably wouldn't be able to do too many coffee enemas. Do you think I should just by the kit mentioned in this thread and do Celtic salt enemas, or do you think I should buy a bag or something that's compatible with coffee enemas? Also, when I do my bi-weekly (or tri-weekly) enema during my cleansing period, should I do an "enema series" (repeated enemas) oh the days I do an enema, or should I just do single enema? Also, what time of the day should I do the enema--morning, mid-day, evening, before/after bowel movement, after excretion, etc?
Lastly, Shelley, do you recommend that I get any other essential vitamins/supplements before I commence on my cleansing regimen?
Thanks a bunch, Shelley.

| Oh yeah. On the days I will be doing my enema, do I need to be on any sort of special diet/fast? Thanks, Shelley. |

Check the FAQ, I think most of your answers are there.
Coffee enemas should only be done once a week or less, or only during intense pain. We absorb some of the caffeine and that's hard on the adrenals.
Salt water flushing enemas can be done more often. Do them first thing in the morning after your morning BM. If you're fasting you can do them any time of the day. For major cleansing, I like to do a series, like every-other day for a week, and then go down to once or twice a week. |

| OK, I'll make sure to look over it. I have one more question though, Shelley. Will I still need to take the P&B shakes, even though I will be taking the Colonix fiber shakes? Thanks. |

| Hey, Shelley. I have a quick quetstion for you. For the enema water (for both coffee and salt) is it okay if I heat the water in the microwave as I don't have a hot plate, nor a stove on hand? Thanks. |

| oooo interesting. If I were you, I'd get one of those cheap teapot things that let you heat up water for tea. You don't want microwave energy in your bowels! You're really not supposed to use microwaves for cooking anything. |

| Shelley, do you think given my limitations a Salt Water Flush would be more appropriate for me? Also, does the sea salt for the basic water enema have to be uniodized like for the Salt Water Flush? Also, can I use Hains Sea Salt as the salt for the basic water enema? Thanks. |

You'd still need to get yourself a regular heater, hot plate or tea pot thingie. The salt water flush should be warm water or you'll really give yourself a chill.
Yes, you can use Hains, so long as it is UNiodized Hains Sea Salt. I use Hains all the time since Celtic sea salt is so darned expensive. |

Ahh, ok. I was trying to save a buck or two.
Anyhow, the enema kit from the above link should arrive in about a week's time. I was planning on FINALLY starting the Colonix once everything was in, but I am very eager to start now. My bowel movements have been very bad as of late, I feel more fatigued, and I need A LOT of sleep (at least 9 hours every night, though some nights it's much less because of studying). I sleep a lot during the day time, Shelley, and because of that, I sometimes feel like I have insomnia. I am always tired. My diet has been VERY bad lately. Since I sleep during the day a lot, I tend to miss Cafeteria hours and end up buying pizza or some crap like that. At one point last week, I ordered pizza 5 times in 7 days! Shelley, do you think it'd be okay for me to start Colonix now and do the enema cleansing a week after I start? Ahhhhh, I hate this!
Oh, and one more thing...for last several months (since about Oct. 2004 when my hair started falling out and when I became aware of the possibility I may have Candida), but especially in the the last couple months, I have been feeling very indifferent about school, my family, and life in general. It's really a stark change of sentiment, as I am usually very focused on school and in touch with my family. I feel like I have become detached from them these last few months, in particular. And the weird thing is that in these last few months, my family (parents) has been going through A LOT (dad had to move for work, mom is having relapses of chest/heart problems) lately, and one would think that this is the time I would be most involved and care most for them, but it's just the opposite. I dunno, it's weird. Does Candida do this? Does it somehow evoke a feeling of apathy towards life in general?
As always, your thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks, Shelley. |
