Hi

I had a vaginal yeast infection for about 1 year and it doesn't want to clear up with any of the medicine i've been taking. My symptoms are: white discharge, itching, pain during sex, acne in the forehead (never in my life have i had acne before), feeling tired and even little depressed. I took almost all the variations of antifungal creams i even tried sporanox which gave me a really bad back ache. I've been to two obgyn's. The first wanted to put me on Birth Control pills which i didnt want to do. The second one looked at me like it was all in my head and prescribed me a cream. Needless to say im fed up with it and Ive been researching so i got some caprilic capsules and probiotics they seem to be helping a little, but the yeast still there. I am new to all the natural health alternatives since my dad is a doctor. I just want to get better and kick away this yeast infection for good i read so much that i dont know how to start a regimen. If anyone could give me some guidance it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Hi Dulcemia, welcome to the forum! You're going thru EXACTly what I went thru before I accuately diagnosed myself. Until you treat the infection as a systemic infection, it's going to keep coming back!

The forehead acne is due to liver congestion, which happens as a result of the kind of diet that leads to candida overgrowth, and in itself can cause candida overgrowth because a clogged liver means you're not digesting fats and proteins, which candida loves to mold and mildew up right there in your gut. It then makes it to the uterus and vagina to infect there.

So you need to follow a complete candida protocol. Read the sticky posts here, and the FAQ - all of it, sorry! it's a lot of reading but you need to know it all for this mess. You should do at least two liver flushes once you've been bowel cleansing for awhile.

To deal with the localized infection, the instructions are in the FAQ under Ailments. You don't need to waste money on Monostat ever again, just get live acidophilus capsules from the refrigerated section of the health food store.

Good luck! Smile

Hi Shelley

Thanks for replying & your helpul information. I have altered my diet for this month (It hasn't been easy) and i am scheduled for my first colonic next week. I am looking forward to feeling better. I have another question: Someone suggested I apply an acidophilus capsule vaginally. I was wondering if its safe and if so how long do i do this? Daily? Once a week? Im already taking some probiotics orally.

Thanks again
Dulcemia

Oh yes it's quite safe! The complete protocol for vaginitis is in the FAQ under ailments. It is very important to clean the vagina first, then put in the acidophilus, which should be live and in a gelatin capsule. Your body heat will dissolve it enough to release the acidophilus, but you'll still need to remove the semi-dissolved capsule and replace it with a fresh one, after "finger douching" again, daily for 7 days.

Be sure to check with the store clerks about which are the freshest bottles of acidophilus, the most recently shelved or highest turnover.

Thanks Shelley for responding to my previous entries:!:
I had my first colonic 5 days ago and the hydrotherapist told me i had a fairly clean colon and will not need an intense series of them. Im trying to get rid of this candida, but not really sure how many colonics or enemas i should do before i attempt to do a liv cleanse? But I've had weird symptoms after the 1st colonic i got my period two days ago and it was really heavy (heavier than usual) and with painful cramps. Also I've had a sinus headche for the last day and my nose just started getting runny. I was just wondering if these symptoms had anything to do with the colonic or is it totally not related ?

the period probably isn't related, but the rest are. The full moon was pretty powerful last weekend, it thru us all off.

If you're having regular daily BMs then go ahead and flush, and do a colonic the day after. Smile
