What materials should our cookware be?

I took a look under my counter and frankly I think a lot of my pieces need to go. Crying or Very sad

I'm going shopping for new cookware on Tuesday and would love some input as to the safest materials pots and pans should be made from.

Throw out anything that is aluminum or teflon coated. Get something like All-Clad stainless steel. Cast-iron is okay. Ceramic is great but expensive, conducts heat beautifully and removes the need for a double-boiler when making sauces or melting chocolate. It's nice to have one mixing bowl that is made of copper, we do need some copper in our diet after all.
