I have always heard very good things about his products, but have a bit repelled by his "advertising strategy." My friend really wants to do his 5 day bowel cleanse ( which costs about $50 ) . I told her I had very good results with just using the P&B shakes for 5 days. What is so great about his products? I'm don't mean that in a nasty way, but I really want to know if the difference is worth paying for...ya' know what iI mean Wink

Yes, I totally know what you mean! Smile

I have done very well with my own concoctions or other commercial alternatives that are better priced. He does use good manufacturing standards with the herbs, so that's nice, but most people I've queried have said they got better results from Dr. Christopher's liver/bowel mixtures, and I've gotten better results from Planetary Formula's herbal mixtures which are quite cheap, and Julia Chang's tinctures which aren't cheap but you get lots of bang for the buck - a bottle will last a good long while.

I often recommend his bowel formula 1 and 2 to people with severely long-term chronic constipation, because it's one of the few commercial brands that separate the laxative from the fiber, so you have total control over how much laxative you take. Not everyone can take a P&B shake and pass it.

But I don't recommend that they use them as he recommends, which is to ONLY take the laxative and then ONLY take the fiber. That doesn't make sense at all to me. Intestines get weakened and out of shape if they're asked to work real hard without bulk fiber, and then when you give them lots of bulk fiber need help to work that hard! Smile

As for his super-food, well, I don't think anyone beats out Garden of Life or E3Live for quality and nutritional value.
