| If I have carrot/spinach juice for lunch, can I have other food with it? The juice alone is not enough for me. I usually do my flaxseed first, then carrot juice. What is the difference if I wait to eat rice and beans, or have it with my juice? |

| I tend to drink my juice and then eat shortly after. Juice is great before meals as it's packed with enzymes so does help with digesting heavier meals. |

Another way to incorporate everything all together and make it a heart meal is to add chopped up carrots and spinach to the rice and beans with a little extra EV olive oil and curry; it's simply delcious !! |

I have found that when my liver is slugish I feel very tired but if I drink carrot juice with a little milk or cream and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of honey I get a HUGE pick me up in energy in just a short time. Which begs the question.. is fatigue often a beta carotene deficiency or is the carrot juice just cleansing the liver and picking up the energy level in turn?
I have found this pattern of drinking carrot juice for energy to be consistently true. |

| carrot juice is a wonderful source of good sugars that do indeed help the energy levels. And because it does cleanse the liver/bile, it means the liver is that much more able to take care of metabolism - getting energy from calories. |
