|

Hi, Shelley! I'm back with more questions.
Lately, I've been doing Apple Cider Vinegar enemas and have been expelling lots of yeast--white papery-looking stuff, long threads, and thready masses about the size of a small superball. Sometimes the thready masses have brown specks in them. This is very exciting and interesting and of course I have the same questions as others: how much of this stuff is inside of me? How long will it take to get it out? How quickly does it grow? Am I making progress, or just re-loading the problem and keeping up with it? Any comments on this?
Anyway, my big question is this. My psyllium bowel movements come out shaped pretty well. But bowel movements without psyllium in them are flat. This has been going on for quite some time, well before I started the ACV enemas. What's going on here?
Thanks! --Andrew
BTW, I had asked awhile ago about "life signs," like flecks in fingernails, cracks in the tounge, etc., and their meaning. I couldn't find the info you pointed me to in the FAQs. Help, please! Thanks! |

Hiya Andrew! Nice to hear from you.
Check the FAQ again. Notice all the underlined subject headings - they are all links to new pages. Start out with Vital Health Management link, then Diagnostics. All the nail/tongue etc. are there.
Flat stools? Weird! speaks to misshapen intestines, but then why wouldnt' the fiber shake stools be flat too? Makes no sense!
There's no way to tell how long it will take before all that stuff comes out of you or how much you have. all you can do is to make certain-sure that you are thoroughly cleansing and repopulating with healthy probiotics. I suggest drinking at least one kefir shake a day - see FAQ for several Kefir recipes, including Lassi and the Kefir Protein Shake I and II. It would also be smart to take cod liver oil if you're nto already, as it repairs tissues faster. And when you stop seeing all those threads and masses, you can start taking aloe vera juice.
Good luck! |

| Thanks a bunch, Shelley! I'll check out those recipes with the Kefir. I've been doing about 1/2 cup of the Budwig mix with Nancy's cottage cheese (it has probiotics in it) and later in the day eating about a cup of homemade yogurt. I do this about every day or every other day. Also, doing a yogurt retention enema every week or so. Thanks, again! --Andrew |

Just found the links in Diagnostics. It was right in front of my face the whole time. I do believe yeast affects my brain! |

it does! it does. I swear, those yeasties can detract 25 IQ points at least!!!
Kefir is much more effective than yogurt at populating the gut and fighting off the baddies. Yogurt has different organisms - it's still worthwhile eating, but candida people need to get all the bang for the buck that they can. |

Can you do kefir when you are first starting off a battle against Candida? Or is kefir something you wait a little bit to get into?
I had previously done Kefir without trouble, but then I got sick again about a month ago and tried a small glass of kefir and was very phlegmy. I had allergy testing done, and am not allergic to milk/lactose. I can do butter just fine. I wondered if maybe the Kefir was just attacking any new yeasties that have come to inhabit my throat or mouth. I've had a recent return of feeling a tingly/stinging tongue with some stickiness to it, and assumed I needed to both rinse it out ( I tried swishing for 30 seconds yesterday with a little coconut oil, which I think helped out a bit). But, I also suspected I needed to do some work on my intestines with the Kefir. I'm having stool issues as well, so thought I'd ask. I don't want to introduce/reintroduce something at the wrong time and worried that the milk sugars/FOS in Helios plain Kefir might be too much for me to handle, now. |

It depends on the kefir. If it's too new and all the sugars haven't been converted yet, it can feed candida. If it's nice and sour it should be fine. If it caused you mucus, just be sure to spice it up heavily with pungent spices and that should stop. Ginger, cinnamon, all the pungent/carminitive herbs will take away the tendency to form mucus.
Every candida person is different and will respond differently to these things. For the most part, you can trust that it's a healing crisis, but if your pulse increases then reduce or stop for awhile. |
