Shelley,
I had my urine and saliva tested and had iridology done.
My saliva PH, rH2, and r are all "extremely increased". My urine PH and rH2 are "moderately depressed" and my urine r is "extremely increased".
Under physiology:
Minerals - extremely stressed
Virus - moderately stressed
Interstitial - moderately stressed
Cellular - extremely stressed
Mitochondrial - extremely stressed
Lymphatic - moderately stressed
Liver - moderately stressed
Adrenal - extremely stressed
Pancreas - moderately stressed
Kidney - extremely stressed
Digestive - moderately stressed
Fungus - moderately stressed
Heavy metals - moderately strressed
Thyroid - moderately stressed
Bacteria and Circulatory - normal (thank goodness for small favors)
I know I have to start with increasing digestion. And I know some of the foods you have recommended for that (protein shake, kichadi, potassium broth).
In my protein shake, I have been using the Rice Milk, eggs, Lecithin, and oil (I am using Cod Liver oil), however, I have been adding ground flaxseed, superfood, ACV, and nutritional flakes. Is that OK? Are all of these things compatible? Is there any reason I can't drink the protein shake three times a day?
Keeping in mind good digestive foods, what you do recommend when I am on the road and must eat out with others? And when I don't have to eat out, but I am far from home, what can I take with me for a lunch that will digest easily?
Am I correct in believing I must improve my digestion FIRST? I work on bowel management daily, but should I do any more liver flushes at this point or hold off on that until other areas are in order? Should I do a kidney cleanse or would that be too hard on my body right now?
I am dry brushing, rebounding, and taking a sauna two-three times a week. The detox baths are out for about a month and a half until I move (weird plumbing problems; I don't like the looks of the water).
My naturophath is putting me on Pantothenic Acid, continuing with Food Enzymes (with 324mg HCL/two with each meal), and a Lymphatic Drainage formula, Nutri-Calm, and SugarReg formula by Natures's Sunshine. She muscle tested to determine this combination, so I am feeling good about the plan. Delivery should be sometime this week.
So it seems the area I must figure out myself is what to eat to increase digestion. As a non-cook, protein shakes 3 times a day sound wonderful to me!!!
What do you think?
Blessings,
Dianna |

Hi Dianna!
Yep, there's a reason you can't take the protein shake 3x a day: BALANCE. If you eat that many eggs each and every day, cchances are you'll become allergic and that's no fun! You can increase the number of eggs to 3, and have it once a day no problem.
I wouldn't combine that particular protein shake with flax seed etc., I'd leave that for another meal. It's important for that particular protein shake to be fiber-free so that it digests easily and quickly and does not promote the growth of yeast, because of the rice milk which is high in carbs - complex carbs, but still carbs.
Combine your flax seed wtih a Kefir digestive shake instead (see the recipes for Digestive Lassi or the Kefir Protein Shake II which is a lot like your shake), and that way the fiber will deliver the kefir to the small intestine where it can populate it with friendlies and really aid digestion. THAT way you can have the shake more than once a day no problem, but remember to have 2 days a week without any eggs whatsoever.
Yes, power of digestion is of utmost importance. However, because we keep eating even when we're not digesting, that means elimination is important too - so keep up with the bowel cleansing and drink the Cleansing Drink at least 2x a day to cleanse liver and kidneys and be adequately hydrated. Then start adding more cultured foods to your diet, like cortido, sauerkraut, and other pickled things.
Hope that helps! |

Thank you. I will keep the protein shake for once a day, five times a week, no ground flax seed. But adding a kefir shake will help me, I am sure. By the way, I checked blueberry prices today - $2.50 / 4.4 ounces, on sale!!!. Ouch! And we grow them in this part of the country!!! I guess I will have to wait until they are in season! But I can put most any fruit in a kefir shake, correct?
I just found some homemade saurkraut at the health food store. I will try ti and if I like it, I will start making my own. That would be something I can carry with me to eat during the day, wouldn't it?? would the carrot salad and Bieler broth also be easy to digest and good to take with me?
A question on saunas. Are only the dry saunas good for sweating or will a stream sauna be helpful as well?
As always, thank you!

Oh my, that IS expensive! They're still expensive down here too, but I've found blackberries cheap. Yum! Feel free to use frozen berries in your Kefir shake, just about any fruit will do but the astringent ones don't add as much sugar, which is nice. I am very partial to frozen Mango, however. Trader Joe's has chunks in a bag and a bag lasts for a good many shakes.
yes, yes yes. I find sauerkraut much more tasty if I add marjoram to it. Traditional German sauekraut for me is just too much of a one-note dish - all sour, nothing else. But Cortido, the Mexican version of saeurkraut, adds in oregano and red pepper flakes and that makes a big difference to my palate. When I make it I use marjoram because it's a sweeter oregano. And of course it helps to eat it WITH something that counter-balances the flavor.
Any kind of sauna is helpful. I find moist ones to be better for my dry skin and if I only have access to a dry sauna will shower first and go in wet.
Do feel free to use frozen produce so long as they come from a good source, or those glass jars of fruit. It really helps one get into the habit of cooking if the cooking time is only 15 minutes! I have many dishes that only take that long, like the cleansing pasta. One of my favorite quick lunches is to make up a batch of pasta and frozen assorted veggies, or a quick-cooking rice pilaf from Lundberg cooked with broth and frozen veggies topping it. |
