Hi Shelley. I'm not sure what to make of this. I have a travelling rash. It started out late last summer on my right thumb and moved to my left heel. From there it moved to my left forearm and has now moved to the corner of my right eye where it's been for 3 weeks. It's always the same size; about 1/4 inch in diameter. It doesn't itch or hurt, it's just dry and scaly. At first I thought it might be yeast but I did a 3 month yeast cleanse at the beginning of last year and I haven't been on any antibotics since then (at least not that I remember). Could it be yeast or maybe Shocked parasites? Have you ever seen anything like this?
Thanks
Dee

Dry, sore areas that are red and perhaps prone to be "scaly" and shed skin quickly are usually a lack of essential fatty acids and the other skin food. Try upping your intake of fats, A, E, C, zinc, iodine. Cod liver oil, wheat germ oil, Emergen-C, and seafood are all good choices.

But if you have raised bumps on the area, then we're talking hives/breakouts, which is a Pitta disorder. Could be a reaction to heat - hot spices, hot weather, too much sweating, that is disturbing the balance of the skin. For that, acidophilus is great, and following a Pitta balancing lifestyle/diet is very helpful.

I'd have to see a picture to know for sure what's going on. Feel free to send me one if you can, to editor@askshelley.com. Smile
