candida in children

Postby momcilo » Thu Jul 02, 2009 2:52 pm

hello. i have carefully read all that you wrote about curing candida, but i would like to ask you about candida in children. my youngest daughter who will be 2 in august seems to have candida for a couple of days and since we do not use medicines we started to clean her tongue with gentian violet. we are vegans (admirers of Dr Herbert Shelton's work), she is still breastfed but started to eat starches (like brown rice and bread which my wife makes with no yeast) and sweet fruit (dates and bananas...) which i think is the reason for candida to occur. i would appreciate if you could tell me if there is something different from what you already wrote about feeding grown ups with candida. thank you.

Children recover a lot quicker and should only need a bit of kefir or Activa regularly in their diets. For a child to have candida despite a "good diet" and despite never taking antibiotics, that means there isn't enough calcium (or too much phosphorus, such as using tofu milk instead of real milk which is really really bad for kids), and their digestion may be impaired by nutritional deficiencies, such as not enough B vits.

Please do read the weston a price.org site on how to nourish people properly. Vegan diets are not complete, all-around nourishing unless you are a vegan genius, and even then it's pretty tough. They certainly do not have enough good protein for growing kids. I recommend that at least two days a week include eggs if a child is on a vegan diet for longer than two months.
